Three vacuum robots with self-cleaning function are under test

If you send a vacuum cleaner robot to clean the floor every day, the floor is spotless, but the small dust container is filled up like a snap. In most cases, the picked up dirt must be dumped into the trash can once a week, and the filter must also be knocked out. This is not a big effort, but you actually bought a vacuuming robot because you want to waste as little time as possible to clean.

The vacuum cleaners Ecovacs, iRobot and Roborock boasted in this test that they even took this task away from them. Their base station consists of a robotic ramp and a small turret. Inside is a 240-volt exhaust fan and a traditional vacuum cleaner bag. Once the vacuuming robot returns to the base after completing its work, the internal vacuum will be activated and the robot's dust box will be emptied.

iRobot's i7 and Roborock's S7 can be bundled with a suction station, or bundled with a traditional suction station for about 300 euros. This offer is for people who don’t need automatic emptying initially. By purchasing a compatible suction robot, at least the option of the suction station can be retained. If you want to upgrade later, you can get them separately for 480 Euros (iRobot) or 300 Euros (Roborock)-the bottom line is that it is expensive, but the purchase is divided into two installments. Ecovacs' Deebot T9 is currently only available in bundles. Other T9 extraction bases with the same structure will be provided separately soon.
