SeaLife SportDiver is a small and lightweight underwater shell suitable for most Android smartphones and iPhone 7 and later versions of Apple iPhone. Android and iOS applications are available for the current operating system and previous versions, for example, the Android application is currently available for Android 11 and 10.
The SeaLife SportDiver case allows divers to use their smartphones to take photos and videos at 130 feet or 40 meters. The heavy-duty housing is made of polycarbonate, stainless steel, aluminum and optical grade glass. Although the SportDiver case is "heavy", it is not heavy, weighing less than 1.5 pounds (641 grams) on land, and provides near-neutral buoyancy in the water depending on the smartphone used.
SportDiver's ergonomic design is easy to hold and use, with a large shutter lever and rear control buttons, which can be easily operated even when wearing diving gloves. By using advanced camera settings, snorkelers and divers can get more creativity when taking photos or videos. Adjust zoom, control exposure, auto/manual focus, white balance, lens selection, RAW+JPEG mode and more settings according to your phone model.
SeaLife SportDiver includes the free SportDiver camera app for Android and iOS. Using the SportDiver app, you can easily switch between photo and video modes. The SportDiver app utilizes native phone camera technology to generate the same high-quality photos and videos as your phone. The app also provides a power saving mode that can temporarily turn off the phone's camera and dim the display; touching any button will wake it up immediately.
The application playback mode displays full-size photos and videos with vertical thumbnail bars, making it easy to locate your images. After selection, the video will automatically start playing. All files will also be saved to the phone's camera roll. The SportDiver case uses Bluetooth® to automatically connect to your phone and SportDiver app; the case has ultra-low power consumption, is powered by two AAA batteries, and can last for more than 50 hours.
In order to enhance the imaging effect, SportDiver comes with a detachable underwater color correction filter to restore natural underwater colors. The filter can be easily installed or removed underwater and is equipped with a safety tether to prevent loss. The SportDiver housing has three 1/4-20 tripod mounts, which can be mounted to any lamp or lamp tray with a standard tripod thread, such as SeaLife's own Sea Dragon series underwater photo/video lights. SeaLife also provides a combination of SportDiver and Sea Dragon underwater lights, called "SportDiver Pro 2500 Set".
