Foam ceramic is a kind of porous ceramic similar to foam in shape, and it is the third generation of porous ceramic products developed after ordinary porous ceramics and honeycomb porous ceramics. This high-tech ceramic has three-dimensional connected pores, and its shape, pore size, permeability, surface area and chemical properties can be adjusted appropriately, and the products are like "toughened foam" or "porcelain sponge". As a new type of inorganic non-metallic filter material, foam ceramic has the advantages of light weight, high strength, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, simple regeneration, long service life and good filtration and adsorption.
By virtue of its interconnected three-dimensional structure, the foam ceramic filter can fully embody its four filtration mechanisms of rectification, mechanical screening, "filter cake" and adsorption when filtering molten metal. at the same time, the filter material has good chemical stability and does not react with the alloy liquid, so as to effectively remove or reduce the inclusions in the molten metal and improve the purity of the molten metal. The surface of the cast metal castings is smooth, the strength is improved, the scrap rate is reduced, and the machining loss is reduced, so that the energy consumption is reduced, the labor productivity is increased and the cost is reduced.
Alumina Ceramic Foam Filters(CFF-AL) Common Size:
CFF-AL is available in all common sizes: 7", 9", 12", 15", 17", 20", and 23". We offers the whole range of porosities from PPI 10 up to PPI 60 (PPI = pores per inch). Custom-made cut-to-size filters are also possible.

CFF-AL is equipped with a gasket on the edges. The gasket assures the proper and tight position of the filter within the filter box. There are different types of gasket available, eg. Ceramic fibre gasket etc. Also you can choose CFF-AL without gasket.
