The shoes are woven with 70% bamboo and 30% nylon mesh, which is moisture-proof and contains natural antibacterial properties, which can keep your feet cool and dry in any weather conditions. Bamboo is grown ethically in an OEKO-TEK certified sustainable forest, and nylon thread is made from recycled plastic bottles.

Pineapple leather accessories come from a natural textile made from discarded pineapple leaf fibers, which can replace mass-produced animal leather. Pineapple leaves are waste from the industry and are usually incinerated, generating a lot of pollution and carbon emissions. By turning them into the "leather" of YY Nation shoes, vegan alternatives are not only sustainable alternatives to leather, but also provide a new source of income for pineapple farmers.

The sugarcane midsole is made of bioethanol made from squeezed liquid sugarcane. This laid the foundation for soft, durable, and flexible white soles, replacing harmful oil-based petrochemical products. YY Nation sugarcane soles are considered carbon-negative, making the shoes lighter during exercise and lighter to wear on the earth. The use of lgae, another ingredient in the midsole, helps to clean its rising presence in the waterways and purify the air.
