The Amazon filter SupaMesh stainless steel filter element is the perfect tool to ensure that only cooking-grade steam is used in your food and beverage production process.

When producing steam that directly or indirectly comes into contact with food and beverage products, it must be cooking grade (3A-609-03). Therefore, boilers that produce steam should only use FDA-approved corrosion inhibitors, and the steam should be filtered as close to the point of use as possible with a filter that can provide 95% retention of 2 micron particles.

Although the goal is to dry saturated steam, in fact, the dryness of the steam will be between 90% and 95%. Any entrained water will reduce the efficiency of any filter. In order to be able to produce dry saturated cooking-grade steam-Amazon Filter has introduced a 3 micron rated version of the SupaMesh filter, which provides the necessary 2 micron particle retention under all conditions even in wet conditions. Combined with excellent flow, this stainless steel sintered metal fiber filter element ensures that this increased efficiency can be retrofitted into existing systems without compromising system performance.

All SupaMesh filter elements are made of 316 stainless steel. They have ordinary cylindrical and pleated configurations, using the latest high-spec mesh or sintered metal fiber media. Each design provides a simple filter media sleeve supported by a center core. The pleated design provides an effective filtration area that is more than twice that of a cylindrical filter element. Ordinary cylindrical sintered metal powder ink cartridges are self-supporting. In all designs, the construction method used is completely welded, and no adhesives or glues are used. This construction method guarantees the integrity of the filter element and eliminates the risk of bypass and the presence of any extractables derived from the binder.

SupaMesh filter elements are available in a variety of standard industrial end cap configurations and sealing materials. They can be optionally equipped with external guards for backflow or backwashing to enhance their superior robust design. The SupaMesh filter adopts high-quality materials and construction methods, and can be used in the range of –150 ºC to 300 ºC, with a pressure difference of up to 25 bar in the normal flow direction.
