“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” legend  Sarah Michelle Gellar  crashed Paramount+’s  Teen Wolf: The Movie   panel at the San Diego Comic-Con today to announce her casting in the spin-off series “Wolf Pack.”

Of her character, Deadline  reports that “Gellar stars as arson Investigator Kristin Ramsey, a highly regarded expert in her field and no stranger to personal loss, brought in by authorities to catch the teenage arsonist who started a massive wildfire which may have also led to the reawakening of a supernatural predator terrorizing Los Angeles.”

“ Wolf Pack  follows a teenage boy, Everett (  Armani Jackson ), and a girl, Blake ( Bella Shepard ), whose lives are forever changed when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature. Wounded in the chaos of its attack, the teens are inexplicably drawn to each other and to two others, fraternal twins Harlan and Luna, who were adopted sixteen years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire. As the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them – the bite and blood of a werewolf.”

The upcoming series is based on the book series by  Edo Van Belkom . The project also hails from  Jeff Davis  and also stars Armani Jackson ( Honor Society, Chad ), Bella Shepard ( iCarly, The Wilds) ,  Chloe Rose Robertson   (Wildflower) , and  Tyler Lawrence Gray  ( Our Town, Macbeth ).

In addition to Gellar’s iconic role as Buffy, the actor has starred in horror movies  I Know What You Did Last Summer ,  The Grudge , and  Scream 2 .

The series comes from exec producer Jeff Davis and MTV Entertainment Studios. Davis and Gellar executive produce alongside Joe Genier and Mike Elliott of Capital Arts. Jason Ensler also executive produces.

Ensler is also on board to direct the pilot episode of “Wolf Pack.”

Expect “Wolf Pack” to arrive on Paramount+ later this year in the U.S. and internationally, where the streaming service is available.

Very little is known about “American Horror Story” Season 11 at this time, but FX did recently announce that it will be premiering in time for Halloween 2022. At this time, the “American Horror Story” Season 11 title has not been revealed, and we don’t know the theme either.

But Deadline brings us some casting news this week, reporting that “American Horror Story” regulars Billie Lourd, Zachary Quinto, Isaac Powell, and Patti LuPone will be returning.

Additionally, Sandra Bernhard (“Pose”) will reportedly make her “AHS” debut in Season 11.

Joe Mantello (“Hollywood”) and Charlie Carver (“Ratched”) have also signed on.

Deadline notes that based on photos from the set, Season 11 “appears to be set in the 1970s-80s.” We expect to learn a whole lot more in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.

As we previously learned, “American Horror Story” has been ordered through Season 13.
