The cloakroom releases a new single "Lost Meaning" from the upcoming album

Dissolution Wave is a universe created by Cloakroom guitarist/singer Doyle Martin as a way of dealing with the past few years. "In the process of writing this record, we lost a few close friends," he said. "Dreaming about another world is easier to digest than immersing ourselves in real details every day."

In the outer space west of the cloakroom, an action of theoretical physics—dissolving waves—erased all existing human art and abstract ideas. In order for the world to rotate on its axis, composers must fill the ether with their work. At the same time, Spire and Ward of Song act as filters for human imagination: only the best materials can pass through the filters and keep the world moving.

The grand opening of the dissolving wave, "loss of meaning", is "the beginning of our traveler's adventure," Doyle explained. "This is the first step to get out of your comfort zone and into an unfamiliar realm. When you cross that threshold, what do you bring to maintain self-awareness? If anything, going to the'silvered land' refers to the age of gilding, A self-centered task of our protagonist in the near future is to meander, and of course this reflects our own. Our humble singer is singing to the minaret and the world of song, a great filter, a barometer of creative thought in this universe . Fortunately for anyone, they will be recognized, and their voices will not fall into the dissonance of meaningless creativity for the wrong reasons."

The lyrics of Dissolution Wave are based on imaginary cosmology, and also mark the grand expansion of Cloakroom's dynamic space rock palette and land for the tenth anniversary of the establishment of Cloakroom. This is their third studio album. The first album is drummer Tim Remis who collaborated with Doyle and bassist Bobby Markos in 2019. Recorded at Earth Analog in Torono, Illinois, this album features loops and pianos on Matt Talbott (HUM)'s "Doubts", and the appearance of "Lost meaning" percussion by Jason Gagovski (Sweet Cobra), composed of Cloakroom's long-term sound engineer (and childhood friend) Zac Montez designed and mixed the sound.
